Project Description

Sharing God’s Message of Hope through Creative Arts

Navah Creative Academy’s Foundation and Extended Diploma in Expressive Arts For Mission is a full-time course equipping young creatives to use their creative talents to impact their communities and nations with a life changing message of hope and love. At Navah we want to provide the best training to equip young creatives to live a creative missional life in Christ Jesus.

The Foundation Diploma is for learners looking to study Expressive Arts in Mission as a one-year, full-time course or as part of a two-year, full-time study programme. If taken as part of a full-time two-year programme of study, it supports progression to work in the field of mission. It also supports progression to an Apprenticeship in the performing arts sector or to further studies.

What does this qualification cover?

The content of this qualification has been developed in consultation with academics to ensure that it supports progression to higher education. In addition, employers and professional bodies have been involved and consulted in order to confirm that the content is appropriate and consistent with current practice should learners choose to enter employment directly in the Christian Ministry sector.

The qualification provides the knowledge, skills and understanding that will prepare learners for further study or training.

Learners taking this qualification will study two mandatory learning and teaching modules:

  • Expressive Arts Skills Development (internally assessed).
  • Creative Theology (internally assessed).

The mandatory content allows learners to concentrate on either the development of their expressive art skills and creation techniques, and relate them to missional practice.
